I disagree lots of people aren't buying windows 7. Just got to any torrent site and type in windows 7 and see how many people are stealing it. Then consider how long the OS has been out. You're looking at a lot of people that haven't paid MS anything.

That is a retarded mentality. You should consider the true value of a game which is the amount of money spent per hour. For example consider Darksiders (single player only) you play through it twice maybe and get the platinum 30 hrs tops. Price/hour = $2/hour. MAG I have so far played for 40 hours and haven't even hit first prestige probably another 20-30 hours away and there are 3 factions so let's just say 180 hour game minimum = $0.33/hour. Even Mass Effect 2 comes in at $1/hour. So ...
I wouldn't say the single player has been done before, then again I don't play many sh1tty games so I don't usually come across bad single player. It was the worst game I have played this generation.

PC is even easier than iPad and itouch. Any idiot can make a flash game. Objective-C takes a bit longer to learn. Indie developers will be the death of Indie developers as the market saturation on the iPod touch will attest to. When everyone can make games, everyone does and you just end up with a lot of crap to sift through to find something good.

While MMO's may be the flavor of the month gaming always will have lots of variety. Look at the re-emergence of side scrollers (LBP, Mario and Shadow Complex). Though not dominant people will always be nostalgic for games past.
No one is talking about the real implications of this game. If it looks as good as people are saying then all console gamers should rejoice in the fact that there will be an engine that surpasses the Unreal engine. Hopefully the adoption rate by developers is high so we don't have to see another year of Unreal garbage (Batman AA being an exception but that was mostly gameplay).
